One of the attractions to the wild ocean beaches for me is the driftwood. All those sand-polished sticks of different sizes, colors and shapes at times create almost surreal landscapes. It can be especially striking early or late in an overcast days.
These are just three images from my short stop by the ocean in Northern California. The weather was just perfect for admiring the driftwood.
The last image I composed from my 2-year old son’s play scene.
